Our Earth Class is geared towards our adult students (age 18 and up), although our more advanced junior students are also allowed to take part in this class with the permission of Master Yu.  This class is taught by Master Yu, along with his team of Assistant Instructors.

The Taekwondo program at New Revolution Taekwondo is suitable for children and adults of all ages and levels of physical ability.  All classes are open to all belt levels, but instructors ensure that each student receives personal attention and that exercises are tailored to the individual's needs and abilities.

WHAT IS TAEKWONDO?  Literally, Taekwondo means Foot Fist Way.  More prosaically, it means The Way of Foot and Fist Fighting.  It is a traditional Korean martial art that emphasizes discipline, respect, and personal growth, and it is famed for its fast and powerful kicks.

HOW WILL I BENEFIT FROM TAEKWONDO?  Studying at New Revolution Taekwondo will improve your fitness, flexibility, balance, coordination, concentration and discipline.  It will develop your self confidence, making you more relaxed and less stressed.  It will build your strength and stamina, while toning your body.  But remember--Taekwondo provides more than just a workout.  As students progress in our curriculum, they also develop their internal strength and power, working steadily towards physical, mental, and spiritual improvement.

WHEN ARE CLASSES HELD?  Classes are held Monday through Thursday and Saturday.  Please refer to the class schedule for specific class times.  Students should plan to attend class at least twice a week, although we allow you to attend unlimited classes each week if desired.

IS EXPERIENCE NECESSARY?   No, absolutely not!  Just call and make an appointment to come to a class, or just drop by to watch!  You can watch the class , or you can l take part in the class to see how much you enjoy it.

HOW ARE CLASSES STRUCTURED?  Most classes start with basic techniques and forms practice, followed by a variety of activities such as kicking or footwork drills, partner drills, and work with focus pads.  Light- or no-contact sparring drills (for lower belt levels) and full-contact sparring drills (for higher belt levels) are often included at the end of class.

WHAT ARE YOUR FACILITIES LIKE?  We have a beautiful newly renovated dojang in the Tower Plaza Shopping Center, right across the street from Hilsman Middle School on Gaines School Road in Athens. We have restroom facilities and a seated waiting area for parents.  Our training floor is furnished with very comfortable red and blue Taekwondo practice mats, which are vacuumed and mopped daily.

HOW DO I GET  STARTED?  Make an appointment to come in for a tour of our school.  Master Yu or one of his staff will show you around, explain the program in more detail, answer any questions you have, and outline the cost involved.

If you would like more information about any of our classes, please contact Master Yu at 706.583.9088, or by e-mail at dragonyu73@hotmail.com, and arrange to come in for a tour.
